Course Description	mplementing Cisco Unified Messaging (IUM) v5.0, formerly Unified Communications System Engineer (UCSE) provides students with best practice information on how to administer, install, configure, operate and maintain a Cisco Unity system in a stand-alone voice mail or unified messaging environment, as well as lessons on Cisco Unity Connection. IUM is a five-day instructor-led course with hands-on lab activities. It is one of two courses recommended for individuals seeking qualification for the Cisco Unity Support Specialization.

Course Objectives	•Determine the minimum hardware requirements for a Cisco Unity system, including the correct voice board hardware setup •Demonstrate how to install the Cisco Unity system, and describe the upgrade process the various Cisco Unified Communication products •Describe the Cisco Unity Connection architecture and platform overlay scheme •Describe the integration between Cisco Unity, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, and circuit-switched PBXs •Demonstrate how to create and use Internet, AMIS, VPIM, and bridge subscribers •Describe and use the basic tools provided in Unity for system maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
