Typical duties for IT professionals include user support, desktop configuration, and desktop troubleshooting. Module 1: Introduction to User Productivity Enhancements This module introduces the key enhancements included in Windows 7 Beta, including improvements to desktop controls and Search functionality, and the addition of the new Search Federation functionality. Lessons Controlling Your Desktop Create and Configure a Library Manage the desktop settings that personalize the computing experience. Module 2: Managing Desktop Configurations This module reviews the enhancements made in Windows 7 Beta that enable IT professionals to more effectively manage desktops and mobile PCs. Lessons Automating Group Policy Enhancements Applying Group Policy Enhancements Describe the new Group Policy Preferences and Administrative Templates that are available to IT professionals who manage Group Policy Objects. Module 3: Introduction to Remote Access This module describes how Windows 7 Beta makes it easier for users to get connected and stay connected regardless of location or type of network. Lessons Introduction to DirectAccess Describe how DirectAccess enables IT professionals to remotely manage and update user PCs.
